A physics-based challenge where I pushed to create a simple but refined core gameplay mechanic.

🎞️ A single, focused mechanic

I created a small game and strove to develop a simple, but refined, core gameplay mechanic. You control a cannon's left/right rotation, and you control firing the cannon, which also launches the cannon into the air, depending on your aim. It allows mid-flight control as well. The goal is to destroy barrels on each level while flying through hazards and obstacles.

Hitting a crunch deadline

Originally created for a game jam, I wound up only having 3.5 hours for the original version. I focused on highest-priority development tasks first, and managed to complete and submit a basic prototype in that time before the deadline.

Physics joints

The 'windmills' are physics-powered, with multiple game objects connected via joints.
